Balance
Without the grim hauntings of war, there can be no peace
For paradise lies in the shade of swords
There can be no greater triumph
Than that of survival against all odds.
Without the chains of captivity, there can be no freedom
For until it’s taken its value cannot be seen
As the free bird learns upon being caged
When it dwells on what was and what could have been
Without pain and sorrow there can be no true joy
Happiness is best when won after a fight
Just as the smallest light turned on
After the suffocating darkness is always bright
Life is all about balance between the yin and yang
The black and the white, the good and the bad, the hope and the despair
It shall have grief, it shall have angst
But in the end, better times shall always be there
